The “Save the Environment, Save the Earth” project aims to combat environmental degradation by raising awareness and promoting sustainable practices. Through educational campaigns, community engagement, and advocacy for environmental policies, SDF is dedicated to protecting our planet for future generations. We believe that by working together, we can foster a global movement towards environmental conservation and sustainable living
The “COVID-19 and WASH” project addresses the critical role of water, sanitation, and hygiene in preventing the spread of COVID-19. By providing hygiene education, improving sanitation infrastructure, and ensuring access to clean water, SDF has helped protect vulnerable communities and improve public health. Our efforts have reached over two hundred thousand people, promoting safe hygiene practices and mitigating the impact of the pandemic
The “Combating Dengue in Khanewal” project focuses on reducing dengue transmission through community engagement, vector control measures, and educational programs. Our comprehensive approach has raised awareness and decreased dengue cases, contributing to a healthier and more resilient community in Khanewal District.
The “Polio Eradication in Khanewal” project has made significant strides in polio prevention through vaccination campaigns, community engagement, and public awareness efforts. By increasing vaccination coverage and reducing polio cases, SDF is contributing to the goal of a polio-free Pakistan and protecting children from this debilitating disease.
SDF’s Mother & Child Health Care Centre has been serving the community since 2010, providing ultrasound facilities, free medications, antenatal and postnatal services, and training for Traditional Birth Attendants. This center is vital in improving maternal and child health in Khanewal.
The vocational training center in Khanewal, established by SDF, offers primary education and vocational training for women. Through partnerships and self-help initiatives, the center has trained 230 women in various trades, enhancing their skills and economic opportunities.
As the CRAN (Child Rights Advocacy Network) Secretariat in Khanewal, SDF provides a platform for NGOs working on child rights. We facilitate the provision of child rights services through collaboration with partner organizations and local government departments, ensuring the protection and advocacy of vulnerable children in the region.
The Social Development Foundation (SDF), established in 1994, is a non-governmental organization registered in both Pakistan and Canada. In Pakistan, SDF is registered under the Ordinance 1961 with registration number DDSW (MD) 214, and in Canada under the Not for Profit Corporation Act with registration number 1215441-2
